26 January 2026 | Europe Bangladesh Federation of Commerce and Industry held a BD Networking Meeting at All Community Club, Gulshan, Dhaka, focusing on the Start-Up Support Pilot Launch Programme, membership expansion, and strategic development partnerships, chaired by Dr. Wali Tasar Uddin, with Mohammad Ali and Brand Ambassador Dipti Chowdhury, engaging business leaders to strengthen collaboration across Bangladesh.
The Dhaka International Textile & Apparel Expo 2025, organized by DTA in collaboration with the Europe Bangladesh Federation of Commerce and Industry, successfully connected 8,000+ attendees, buyers, and exhibitors from over 50 countries during a landmark three-day textile and apparel industry event held at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Conference Centre, Dhaka.
Europe Bangladesh Federation of Commerce and Industry hosted its Scottish Regional Meeting on 16 November 2025 at Edinburgh , bringing together NRB and Scottish business leaders. Salim Sharif (DG -EU & Global )presented EBFCI’s global activities and partnerships, while senior directors including Mr. Sami Sanaullah, Mr. Atahir Khan, Mr. Abdul Motin, Mr. Craig McIvor, and newly appointed director Mr. Matin Khan joined discussions on trade, collaboration, and EBFCI’s growing presence in Scotland.
The Europe Bangladesh Federation of Commerce and Industry Business Delegation Visit to Barcelona on 19th–22nd October 2025 - featured productive meetings with Mr. Ramon Pedro Barnaus the Consul General of Bangladesh in Barcelona and NRB business leaders, focusing on strengthening Bangladesh–Spain business collaboration and establishing an EBFCI Network Hub in Barcelona
EBFCI has partnered with the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP), founded by Valerie Ann Taylor OBE, to advance inclusive healthcare in Bangladesh. An MoU was signed at EBFCI’s Dhaka branch office in Gulshan, in presence of Valerie Taylor and EBFCI President Dr. Wali Tasar Uddin, with leadership from both organisations.
EBFCI team met key French and EU business organisations in Orléans on 15 July 2025, including Paris Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Europe Network, and DEV’UP Loire Valley. The meeting explored strong collaboration opportunities in EU–international business development, trade, investment, innovation, and sustainable cross-border growth.
EBFCI met H.E. Khondker M. Talha, Ambassador of Bangladesh to France and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, in Paris. Led by President Dr. Wali Tasar Uddin, discussions focused on EBFCI’s vision, future collaboration opportunities, and strengthening EU–Bangladesh cooperation and engagement.
EBFCI Bangladesh Chapter Official Inauguration | 25 June 2025 - A memorable milestone as EBFCI officially launched its Bangladesh Chapter at Dhaka, bringing together distinguished diplomats, senior government officials, business leaders, and development partners to strengthen Bangladesh–Europe business collaboration and unlock new opportunities across diverse industries.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with Turkish Airlines in Dhaka. The agreement was signed by our Bangladesh Country Head, Mr. Mohammad Ali, and Mr. Islam Gure, General Manager of Turkish Airlines.
EBFCI – Athens NRB Business Leaders Meeting & Networking | 22 April 2025 Led by President Dr. Wali Tasar Uddin, EBFCI met NRB business leaders in Athens to discuss business formalisation challenges, governance barriers, and future collaboration. Participants also showed strong interest in establishing an EBFCI liaison office to enhance support, networking, and institutional engagement.
EBFCI Meets ACCI – Advancing Trade & Knowledge Partnerships | 22 April 2025 - EBFCI met Mrs. Eleni Foti, Director of International Trade Relations at ACCI, to discuss collaboration on international trade and NRB engagement. Both parties expressed strong interest in joint initiatives to enhance EU–Bangladesh trade, knowledge exchange, and future events involving NRB business leaders, ACCI, and EBFCI.

NRB World extends a warm welcome and a reception for Dr. Wali Tasar Uddin MBE DBA JP, President of EBFCI, along with the Bangladesh Country Director and other senior directors of EBFCI. Dr. Wali will be one of the esteemed panel discussion speakers on Export Opportunities at the NRB World Summit 2024, which will take place at the Sheraton Hotel Dhaka on Thursday, 26th December 2024.
On 24 December 2024, Dr. Wali Tasar Uddin MBE DBA JP, President of EBFCI, along with the Bangladesh Country Head and senior Directors of EBFCI, held a highly productive and insightful meeting with the Honourable Commerce Advisor, Mr. SK Bashir, at the Ministry of Commerce.
In May 2025, H.E. Michael Miller, EU Ambassador to Bangladesh, met with Dr. Wali Tasar Uddin MBE, President of EBFCI. Joined by Mr. Mohammad Ali and senior EBFCI officials, they discussed future collaborations. The Ambassador praised EBFCI’s innovative business approach and expressed strong support for joint projects and events in the European Union.
